Thoughts on Kamen Rider: The Next
Wanted to post this earlier... but had to finish the zombie journal's first
Watched Kamen Rider: The Next finally. XD Of course it's the takenoko cut with the director's cut scenes being edited into the movie... and I was taken by surprise. XD Well... not really, heard a lot of comments saying that The Next got a lot of IchimonjiXHongo fanservice... so I HAD to watch. XP

Masaya Kikawada is still very adorable portraying Takeshi Hongo and Hassei Takano reprising Ichimonji. And I had wondered why on earth the actor playing Kazama Shiro (Kamen Rider V3) had been so familiar. It's Kato Kazuki!!!! My dear F-lists here should have easily recognized him as the Keigo Atobe in Hyotei's Tenimyu, Ichimoku Ren in Jigoku Shoujo Live Action, Teshima Makoto in Hotaru no Hikari and Daisuke Kazama in Kamen Rider Kabuto. Haha... and I thought we couldn't have any more bishies.
Watching this movie... I can't help noticing all of the BL hints between Hayato and Takeshi. The hints are so obvious what the hell...OTP ka? XPPPPP And the crack continues in my head as in one scene Kazama appeared and appeared as if he's jealous of the two. Hahahaha what is this? HayatoXTakeshiXKazama pairing? Toei is up to something. XO
This made me feel like I wanted to go watch Kabuto if possible... because I was curious of whether Kabuto had some gay element. XP Because I saw more BL fanfics in Kabuto than the rest of the fandom combined. But then again it's probably the Kato Kazuki factor... XD.
There's too much fanservice lol~ but okay la. It's fun to watch. I guess this Kamen Rider set is like Tsuburaya's N-project Ultramen. The target audience obviously not targeted to just kids, with the rating raised especially fort the fact that there's violence and nudity on there ... and the Kamen Rider/Ultraman concept were adjusted to be a more realistic. I mean... in The First and this one The Next, the henshin sequence were hardly longer than a few secs after all!
Some of the FX looked so good... I really hope they gonna make another sequel, at least to complete the set. I'd like more story on V3... XDDDD. And the other two. XDDDD

EDIT: After watching the movie... I get it why they chose Kosaka Riyu to sing their insert song. Because a lot of Kosaka Riyu's songs had that medieval, haunting melody in it... and that aspect is important in this movie.
