"This was annoying! What kind of a sick person would do this?" cried Yamapi as he started pacing around.

"At least it's over now..." Erika stated meekly as Yamapi snapped at her.

"What over? From what you said, Erika-chan... this Ueda recognized you! And it sounded like his target now was not just Ryo... it's you as well! They must have remembered you since that day. If... if Ryo hadn't accompanied you to the lecturer's office earlier, who knows what else could have happened!"

"Maa... maa, Yamapi-kun... we know you're worried as well—but calm down!" cried Maki as Yamapi finally stopped talking. He turned towards Erika and Ryo before noticing that his friend had looked pale.

"So it's true... something did happen before right?" Ryo suddenly spoke as he pressed the side of his head hard. "How stupid of me to not notice, no wonder that day everyone was so worried. Just because I could not remember what had happened that day—"

Erika gently placed her hand on his shoulders. "No, Ryo-kun... it's not your fault—"

Pi sat beside Ryo as well.

"Erika-chan was right. If there was anyone at fault, it's those yankees. How dare they pick on Ryo of all people!"

Kame laughed.

"Don't tell me that you wanted to waste your strength on those louts? I knew that you learnt karate for a while—"

"Eh? You are?" Maru randomly jumped in into the conversation, as Yasu pulled him away without avail. Both of them started talking animatedly with both Kame and Yamapi about said topic.

That reminded Ryo. This house they were in right now was Subaru's. It turned out that he and Yoko had shared the payment of the house and allowed both Yasu and Maru to stay with them, the reason why they were here. After the last incident, both Maru and Yasu insisted that they come to this house... since he had told him that his house would still be empty when he get home—Hide-nii and Keii-nii would only be home around eight. Maki had happened to be around as well, since she had been waiting for Erika—and that was why Yamapi and Kame also joined them. Jin would have also come before Ryo told him not to make a big fuss about it.

It startled him that his friends would react so badly about the earlier harassment that Ryo found it a bit suspicious. Perhaps, it was as he suspected, there was something more to those memories that he had somehow lost.

"Ano..."

Everyone turned towards Ryo.

"As I thought... there was something. I heard a bit from Erika-chan about what happened a few days ago, or at least a bit about it since I could not remember myself what happened. But I guess there was something more that had happen in the past that made everyone worry about me. But firstly, can anyone tell me about it?"

"Ryo... that—it's better that you don't know considering that you did not remember any of it now..." Yamapi started to say as Ryo stared at him angrily.

"Who are you to judge what I should or should not remember? Can't you trust me about memories that belonged to me? What if those memories were something that I actually do not want to forget?"

"But Ryo—those memories you talked about were not very good memories..."

"Even then, it's up to me... isn't it? To decide to accept or discard those memories?" Ryo asked again just as Subaru and Yoko returned home.

"What's going on here?" Subaru suddenly exclaimed as everyone but Yamapi had gone back to sitting on the nearby couch or on the carpeted floor. Yoko excused himself to his room to change as Yamapi continued his staring match with Ryo.

"It's better that you did not remember anything about it or even try to recall it. You used to suffer a lot in the past, it's better for you this way--"

"Now tell me what's wrong!" Subaru suddenly snapped as Yamapi turned to face him.

"THIS idiot wanted to know what happened in the past that he had no recollection about it anymore and was stubborn enough to insist about it! I mean... Subaru-san! His stepmother had practically thrown him off the stairs! Ryo almost died himself, and he had been in coma for goodness how long—"

"Yamashita!", Kame hurriedly stopped him as Yamapi finally noticed Ryo's face again before regretting his sudden outburst. Subaru hurriedly walked to Ryo's side as the girls moved aside to allow him to sit beside Ryo.

"Suba-san... what Pi said—"

"I'll explain properly. Yamashita-kun was just worried about you. He after all had been among those who were by your side when you had your accident, four years ago. Come... I'll make you something—"

Subaru took Ryo towards the kitchen as Yamapi dropped himself on the couch, clearly stressed about the situation. Kame and Maki started to console him as Erika peered towards the kitchen to see Subaru-san talking to Ryo quietly. It seemed that the tension had started to get heavy around the house. She turned towards the two new friends that she happened to get to know this evening as Maru started fidgeting around.

It seemed that he was not used to this kind of serious atmosphere as he and Yasu started to crack another joke. It was some time before Yokoyama-san joined them that she managed to find out that both Maru and Yasu were from Osaka and had come to Tokyo to study in Keio. It seemed that Yokoyama-san knew their families as well and allowed them to stay at this place.

Nice relationship they had of each other..., thought Erika as Ryo and Subaru finally returned from the kitchen. Ryo bowed towards Yamapi as he apologized to him.

"Sorry for earlier... Pi. I shouldn't have said too harsh at you."

"Me too," Yamapi said as he looked at him with concern. "But I've said something terrible just now... are you okay about it?"

Ryo shook his head.

"It's nothing... really, it's okay. Suba-san... had explained a bit to me just now. I... not sure how to think about it. It was certainly weird to find out about something yet not having any clear memories about it. But knowing about the things that was missing, and relating it to what I do know; I guess now... I understand why everyone worries about me. Really... I'm sorry to bring you all so much trouble!"

"You're not that much of a trouble to us," Pi started to say. "I think if Tesshi, Massu, Jin and Ohkura had been here as well, they would say the same thing."

Ryo bowed again as everyone started to speak at the same time. Subaru ruffled Ryo's hair as he told him to sit down.

"I've called Hide anyway, he'd be picking you up here later," he said as Ryo nodded slowly. It was then that Maru suddenly straighten up as he grabbed Yokoyama's hand and started talking about Ryo's rescue excitedly. It seemed he was really into it... calling himself an Eito Ranger and talking about them being superheroes.

"Aah... we really needed to get more people to complete the group..." Maru moaned as Yoko poked him hard.

"Haven't you two got enough of that? Geez... after dragging me into this along with Subaru and Hina... you want MORE people to play this make-believe game?"

"We saved Ryo-kun!" Yasu said as Yoko slapped his hip hard.

"It was bad enough I got to be Black while Subaru gets Red. And Hina for some reason get PURPLE for some reason... honestly what gave you two that idea—"

"Because Suba-san was always so stern right? I can't think about other colour—" Maru started to say as Subaru started grinning smugly. "And that left us with... hmmm... yellow, green and PINK!"

Yoko jumped.

"WHAT the—pink? And why those colours? There's a lot of others—"

"Because those were the usual colours used in sentai and not taken yet—but Yokocho! Black was not that bad! There was K☆men Ri☆er Black, and he's cool!" Yasu argued as Yoko shook his head.

"You kids seriously had watched too much tokusatsu..."
