Random Who post yeay~~~
Watching Temptation of Sarah Jane Smith I had to wonder if Russel T. Davies based Rose on her, because had to admit that with Sarah Jane having a similar plot as to Rose in Father's Day... kinda hard not to make that kind of relation. (Plus the fact that Sarah Jane lost her parents when she was still a baby... and Rose lost her father when she's a baby) I mean, Pete's death was a fixed point... and so were Sarah Jane's parents; and both Pete and Sarah Jane's parents willingly sacrificed themselves to fix the timeline. Also looking at that one scene in School Reunion, where they tried to one up each other on the worst monster they've faced... it can't be coincidental. And Russel's the kind of writer who like to plant little hints that you barely notice or connect to anything... and then later without you suspecting, drops you a bombshell.
And Rose held a similar place as Sarah Jane to the Doctor, and their stories did parallel each other as in the path that Sarah Jane took but Rose didn't, and the path that Rose took but Sarah Jane did differently. And Luke's a lot like Tenth in particular after all...
Oh screw it. Russel did based Rose on Sarah Jane... that's what made it OSM. And both of them did fought the Trickster; Sarah Jane... a lot of times... and Rose, indirectly during Turn Left. And oh! Sarah Jane and Rose had travelled with two incarnations of the Doctor during their time as the companions of the Doctor. Though... Sarah Jane had a bit more extra, considering she met the Doctor again in his tenth and eleventh incarnations.
