[Thoughts] The Quiz Show 2

Sometime ago I've started to watch The Quiz Show. The first season. Not sure if the streamvid links on Dramacrazy hated me or something... but I kept not being able to finish watching. And I know my true reason to want to watch this was more on season 2. For the most obvious reason. But I stubbornly tried to watch season 1 first. Well... simulwatch is nice for cross refs... XD Watching season 2 as well... for the obvious reasons...

Well yeah, I'll probably edit this post once I finished with at least TQS2 but for now I'll write my initial thoughts.

The Quiz Show 2 (with slight mention of the first season)

Well, the basic story was about a quiz show where you'd be given seven questions to answer and if you succeed in answering the last question aka the Dream Chance question, you'd be able to attain your dreams. The main protagonist was the TV Host and the shady Director (Producer, for the first season) and for every participant they've invited into the show, each of them had a dark past. It's kinda like a shorter version of Who wants to be a millionaire? with a twist. And the TV Host had somehow lost his memory. That's basically the similar premise for both shows.

Personally, I find the second season was much more exciting compared to the first one. For the first one, aside from the scenes at the asylum(?) and of the contestants before they were called in; most of the story was centered on the set. And only starting the second episode, you occassionally get a glimpse of the backstage though not much was focused on them. But for season two, you get to also see the side of the backstage people almost as much as the other scenes; which was uber exciting as the tension gets higher as the questions put out ended up totally different than the ones originally planned. This for the first one... was not so obvious but then again this was the first show, so the people involved might be clueless about it. But then again for 2, it's understandable since it was a LIVE show and they had the aftereffect of the first show being present. Both series looked interesting now...

And a part of me felt excited. Honma's character really made me think of Yumehito. XDDDD And Kamiyama (a bit like) Ainosuke. XDDDD Seeing this, made you think that the reason Hidarime was written later and Yuu-chan being cast as Yume; was related to his role in this drama. However indirectly or unrelated it is. XD. First ep and I already loving this show. XDDDD. YES, I LIKE YUU-CHAN PLAYING DUBIOUS ROLES LIKE THIS. Honma Toshio was so like hanzai mastermind planner of TV. XD

Yeah hahahaha~ reasons also why I loved Black Ranger. XDD (I love all Eitos of course, but Yellow and Black's the most) And I stop here for now. XDDDD

Well, if you wanna summarise, Quiz Show 1 is like the GAR version while Quiz Show 2 is the more emotional version of the show. And in the end, both series are that intriguing. Although the end result might not be the same. But hey~ I have a soft spot for Yuuchin playing characters like these. Same as Ryo-tan. But honestly, I thought something bad had happened between Tazaki and Tamanobe-san... and at the end they look like a couple. XOOOO

And randomly seeing Sakurai Sho as Kamiyama in that kinda face and hairstyle made me think he really resembled Phillip-kun (Masaki Suda who played the chara in W) Yeah, still a toku geek. XD

Yeah... and I just had to watch this while writing that AU 8DDDDDD
