Jurassic World
Went to watch Jurassic World. Feeling like I just walked out of a movie called Godzilla World, instead.
Though, to be honest? I’m not saying that the movie is bad. It’s good. Very. I have feels over the Raptors and T-Rex, okay? Also, like how the trailers for JW do appear to reference the stuff on the original movie; the actual movie also do have lotsa references from the original Jurassic Park movie.
While some would say that it might make the movie predictable, but no… you’re still be on the edge of your feet. But yeah, some things remained the same though, InGen people are still so shitty. You think after the original park’s failure as well as the stuff happening at Isla Sorna, you’d think they would do better. But no.
But I guess since this sets 22 years since the first incident in Isla Nubla (18 since the incident where a T-Rex went lose on the mainland, as well as more stuff happening in Isla Sorna), people may have forgotten about the previous incidents. (Plus, it could also be covered up et all,… I mean, aside from when the T-Rex mama and baby incident the other incidents were more or less not as publicized.)
That aside, for fans of the original movie… this is a good one. Worth the watch.
Yet it still feels like a Godzilla movie for a LOT of reasons. Especially the climax. A part of me had wished Legendary would have done Godzilla 2014 the way they had done with Jurassic World. I mean, as much as I’m okay with G2014 movie, there are some parts that I still don’t like. Aside from CG-ed Debu-chan, some of the excessive human reactions should just be scraped to put more Kaiju stuff in. And I still don’t like how the Muto’s plot was the two ending up trying to breed and you know… stuff. It’s not as bad as that awful 1998 movie with Zilla, but still… dude. Porn. I don’t like.
Anyway the ending/climax in Jurassic World was nice. It’s the same feeling I get after watching Godzilla defeat Mechagodzilla and proof to the world who’s the real King of Monsters. Really cool.
