Assorted stuffs...

^^
It took Darker than Black to interest me back to watching any new animes... not much.

Darker than Black - Gemini of the Meteor Episode 1

In the first season, the story had been centered on the Hell's Gate side... that is, Japan. Main focus was of course... Hei aka Black Ripper aka BK201. This time it seemed it's the Heaven's Gate side. We get to see a new MI6 agent, August 7. Bishie~ and April's back. So is July. And we had some new characters as well, Shion and Suou at which the younger of the twins was a contractor.

So far, the story was happening around Suou as the story picks up again with the lab where their father was working in being attacked. Cue many contractors dying again. Whoa... just the first episode and several of the contractors we know had lost their lives. XO. And I haven't even started on her costume! XOOOO Sometimes I wonder if I had a luck with choosing characters that are going to die later in an anime series as characters to cosplay. XD

Hey! Hei had a longer hair~ and he looked meaner than before! New contractors!!! Mao~~~ T____T

Samurai Sentai Shinkenger 33

Recapping back from last episode, Ushi Origami was still on rampage as Hiro still trapped inside it while the others were lift in a pinch. Doukoku was interested over the matter while Barnacle went off to try to capture Ushi again. Shitari now was really suspicious about what Akumaro was planning. Meanwhile, Dayu recovered Uramasa's piece as Akumaro approached her. And yo~ emo Juzo~

Tono-tachi went off to search for Ushi and Hiro while the grandfather worried. As night fell, Kotoha recalled the incident about Hiro with the origami-tachi as the grandfather explained that Hiro's mojikara was similar with Origami-tachi's power... thus why they were attracted to him. Tono-tachi used that to track Hiro and Ushi down. Dayu meet up with Juzo as they discussed about their paths from now on. Juzo seemed to know Akumaro...

Origami-tachi returned the next morning with leads as they went off to find Hiro. Takeru was given a disc to destroy Ushi by the Grandpa but he later gave it back as they talked about it. Ryu-tachi met the enemy in the middle of pursuit before joined by Tono as Dayu and Juzo joined the fray much later. Ryu-tachi held the two in check as Takeru went after Barnacle towards Ushi Origami. As Hiro tried to control Ushi, Tono arrived in time to protect them as Hiro's grandfather also entered the Origami...

Mougyuu Dai-oh/Ushi seemed like the original one-man mecha like Daikai-oh/Ebi. Gave me the feeling of Optimus Prime. Wonder if its cart can be removable, allowing Ushi to gattai with the others. Hey... you should be expectin' it! Juzo and Dayu made some very nice couple... I support! And now it's almost an unspoken agreement between the Shinkengers that Ryu is the second-in-command after Takeru. (My little heart always soar at this little mention~)

Next episode was Mako-centric! Looking forward to it! Another Parent-related plot! Yosh!

Kamen Rider W Episode 6

Shotaro managed to get to the parent-child before the Anomalocaris got them. But it still frustrate him that the one he fought was a decoy. Seeing the girl, he vowed to tell her the truth. The senator had another meeting again and planned to take Asuka along as well. This agitated Sho since it seemed past incident had not stopped her from risking her daughters safety by taking her around. And Sho found out why was it Asuka thought Kamen Rider was her papa. Her mother's lies and the latter coincidence of W appearing to save them, caused the kid to believe the lie.

Meanwhile, Phillip was scolding Sho again as he got soft over Asuka. And realised that the earlier Dopant was using an experimental memory. In other words, the real one was with Takamura. Elsewhere, Saeko took Kirihiko to take a look at the factory that mass-produced memories...

Akiko met up with Sho's informants (WTF Futo Ramen XOOOO GIANT NARUTO PIECE! XD) for some info as Watchmen mentioned something funny about Takamura's plant. She relayed that to Phillip. He wondered if it had relation to the Tower as he started a new research. Sho tried to tell the truth about Asuka's father to her but ended up telling her what she wanted to hear, seeing Asuka's sad face. Not long after, she was kidnapped by the Dopant. Sho went to save her but was stopped by Nazca. Phillip noted that Nazca was among the big bosses as they risk a powerful attack to counter Nazca's. They succeeded but the strain was too much for Phillip as Sho went to track Asuka.

The senator received a message about Asuka as it lead her to Takamura's place. Takamura took Asuka hostage as W came to the rescue just as Akiko manage to revive Phillip. They defeated the Dopant as Saeko was pissed at the failure of her subordinate. And hey~ the first appearance of HardSplasher! XD

Iron Empress/Empress Cheon Chu

I happened to stumble into random episodes from this series and had grown interest in the story. It's based on a historical figure from Korean ancient history; Empress Dowager Cheon Chu of Goryeo. This 78-episode long series depict the life of the young empress who was the granddaughter of  Emperor Taejo and married the fifth Goryoen Emperor; from the earlier part of her life... until the end of her reign. Although the series does added some fictional retelling of the tale of the Dowager Empress, the series does portray the historical events almost accurately as we were pulled into one of the fascinating historical figures in Ancient Korea history. Chae Si-ra and Kim So Eun definitely gave life to this historical figure and touched the heart of all who loved this series.

A good watch for me. That and I think I had more appreciation of the Ancient Asia historical periods. And coincidentally, Goryeo period was around the same period as was the Song Dynasty, famed for its legendary Yang clan. (Song Dynasty after all, had been among my favourite Chinese historical period... fascinating.) It was amazing to learn the relation between Song Dynasty, Goryeo Empire, Liao and Jin Kingdom...
