Finally I've found someone actually subbed G-9. Surprisingly... it was in the same place that I tried looking for it but didn't find it. Interesting ne... at how abstract this OVA was. As expected from Keita Amemiya. XDDDD
Mika Hijii and Konitan's voice act was a bit refreshing. XD. I might sound a bit biased... but I find it cute. XP
Konitan can sound so... innocent! Hahahahahha.
And yeah.... after the initial spaz, let's do that detailed study of the epic episode of 46 that I've been meaning to make. XDDDDD. For the love of Otoya and Maya and Wataru and the Oyako bond and all things nice over the present Subarashiki Aozora no SeKai~
Kamen Rider Kiva Episode 46
[EDITED] with some corrected fact based on the subs
1986/1987
So it seemed, I'm correct ne... XD. Because of the fact that throughout the series, the theme of parent-child bond was so strong. Despite the fact that Wataru never been able to grow up with Otoya's presence, Maya should have told him a lot of stories about Otoya that it was etched deeply inside his heart. So even when he never had a chance to learn from Otoya directly, he grew up having listened about how great Otoya had been from Maya (and perhaps Jiro-tachi in the early days in the background--but obviously Wataru would not have memories of it. My thoughts are like that since Jiro's treatment over Wataru had a certain sense of feel that he had been true to his promise to Otoya about watching over Wataru. (Jiro-nanny LOL!) It can't be just based on recent events right? They must have interacted in the past as well.) So, Wataru should have this inner desire to actually wanting to know about Otoya. His 'perfect' father... as told by Maya. Would have been the reason why he had hard time believing all of those mischievous deeds Otoya did during the earlier times. XD
So I am right about my thoughts about Wataru's initial thought of erasing himself. Since King was right. The easiest way to change the past, was for Wataru to kill Otoya. But he wouldn't do that... since like a child he is, he deeply loved his parents. As should a lot of children nowadays. XD. And even if it was never been mentioned, Wataru would have thought that if he did not exist... aside from the fact that Mio wouldn't die, so would Otoya. And Maya wouldn't have had the hard life she had during the present time and Shima Mamoru wouldn't die as well. As a lot of people. Just that he never thought of the other chains of events that would have shattered and changed completely if he DID do that. King would have been still alive and kicking and Taiga might ended up as the main character. 8D. But that's not what it should be. XD Thank god~ I love the past episode as well.
And anyway... back to 46.
It's a bit of heartbreaking to see Wataru runninglike a duck lol, towards the fallen Otoya for fear that he might be dead/hurt. Because it was so obvious aside from the Mio issue that Wataru does not want Otoya to die. Even when it was meant to be. See that Oyako love~~~ yes~~~ I'm sentimental for stuffs like this~ kill me~XP
So in this episode we see Wataru who was all the time timid takes a turn to be really aggressive since--King hurt his Daddy!!! That's a NO-NO! Kakakkakakaka. Yeah, we see that Otoya and Maya do play a big role in shaping Wataru's personality. The reason that no amount of effort Nago, Megumi or Shizuka can give to change Wataru's mind to affect him unless his parents intervenes. XD. Wataru's such a daddy and mama's child. XD.
Anyway (LOL I am easily sidetracked!) that's what ultimately reached Wataru. His drive to fight was deeply influenced by his desire to protect the people that he cared. We see that a lot in the past episodes. And the closest, most precious person to him would certainly be his parents. And despite the fact that Otoya had only registered the fact that Wataru's his son after these few days (basing it on the flow in the story), his fatherly instincts did come out. Even at his grave condition, the very thing that he mostly concerned about the moment he regained consciousness; was to protect Wataru and Maya (and of course Taiga). So you can really see his resolve to even lose his life if it meant that it could save the people that he cared for. His resolve to stay alive and keep fighting won against his already weakening body.
There's too many epic scenes and lines in this episode, it made you wanna cry. (pardon me if translation was a bit off. XD)
Otoya: The fight's not over yet! I still... have this! *took out IXA knuckle and henshins*
*sigh* And you wonder why I LOVE tokusatsu series~
And then you hear Wataru trying to stop him, since if he still forced himself to hight in his weakening body... he'd die! Even using IXA which also drains your energy. Otoya so GAR in this scene~ <3
But yeah. No use as well. Since Otoya already weakened from the earlier fight. Who on earth could fight so many times in a day and still have any energy left? IXA broke down and fell onto the sea (at which later Otoya could have recovered and sent to repair.) You can really see how the damage really hit Otoya at this rate. But that would also convince Wataru to continue to fight, eh? He wouldn't sit idle and watch his daddy getting mauled. And Otoya would certainly not sit idle as well, isn't it? He knew that one Kiva or one Dark Kiva would not be able to defeat King (regardless of the fact one was a human and another was a half-Fangire... if you have the will, you can defeat anyone!).
Considering also for the fact that both Kivas are already at half-strength or even less than that. So he called fot Kivat II for the last time. I think at this rate as well, Kivat II would have a new found respect for Otoya...
Otoya: Fighting him alone is impossible! *see, he knew that it took more power that a single Kiva to defeat King. Considering that King/Kiva/Dark Kiva is almost equal in strength*
Kivat II: You really have no care to your life, is it? (If it meant you could protect you precious people?) - Even if Kivat II hadn't said it loud, you can sense that even Kivat II was concerned about Otoya losing his life if he continued using Dark Kiva. His tone did sound a bit like he's scolding Otoya.
And no amount of Wataru begging him not to do it, will stop him. Yeah, even more epic lines... poor Maya! She had to watch all this and cannot help!
Otoya: It's okay. This is your's and mine... this is our first and last battle/duty as a fighter (together)!
Otoya: Please protect the music inside the hearts of everyone. For the sake of that, please continue to fight! Wataru... protect the things that are important to you. *I finally able to reword this. XO* It's our duty as men to fight to protect the things we treasure.
Maya's line was the same as was spoken in the past. But this time, perhaps the true meaning of her words could be fully understood.
Maya: Wataru, you're the one who were supposed to inherit it from him. His life.
- I have a hard time putting it to words. I think Maya was telling Wataru that he was the one suppose to 'inherit' the things that Otoya left for them. In this case, the intangible thoughts and emotion. Sure enough, he did. Bloody Rose.
So finally Wataru realize the true reasoning on why he fight all this time, hearing Otoya's voice guiding him. As well as the answer to all of the things that he had emoed in the past. So after realising this, Wataru decides that he would fight alongside Otoya. In every sense of the word. So that's what 'inheriting his life' would mean.
So you see Wataru's changed as to how he fights. XD. All of the hesitations and 'chains' that binds him in the past had been shattered. And yet another meaning to the chains in the series and what significance did it bring came into the picture.
Final Oyako battle IS EPIC. No amount of commentary would do it justice~!
And I love the writer for this... as expected, yes... King finally revealed that he indeed have feelings for Maya. About time! It was still amusing to see your jealous face all this while anyway. XD. Had to admit... I love this King more as compared to Taiga. XD. He's awesome.
King: Maya... you are mine! Let's go to hell together~
- <3 Yeah.... he's a romantic in his own proud Fangire way~
And a new Fangire King was born as Taiga's power awaken and shielded Maya from King's attack. Though, you would start to wonder if it was just to protect himself only or Maya as well? And yes, that line that we heard in 46's preview was spoken by King. I think Maya also felt a bit for King... (well, they had a child together~) but yeah, abusive husband only gonna get that much. Otoya was a better person to shower love to. XP. But had to admit, even if you didn't see his face... Otoya was a bit alarmed when King attacked Maya. Even more alarmed to see Taiga's countering the attack. Awww.... Otoya-daddy~~~~
And we're back to the son and daddy. Though I was hoping to see them hug at least one last time in this scene. =3 But it's okay.... Makai Jou no Ou got that scene. I'm alright with it. Otoya really doesn't want Wataru to see him die. Or seeing him so fragile (and still I tried to smile as best as he could. TAT). Sasuga Otoya... even in such a short time, he can already read Wataru's personality. Still... he used his last moments to tell him the most important last advice and message that he could possible give to Wataru. Which also meant, more epic line! XD
Side Note: The fact that Wataru ONLY started to disappear once he and Otoya defeated the KIng IS PROOF that this plotline was the reason the plot from the first episode till 44 happened and time worked at it should. Thus the events in those episode are still VALID! Ngahahahahaha.screwallthoseotherpeoplethatsaidthatthetimelinepost44wouldbealternalechangedtimeline~
Back to epic dialogues. XD.
Otoya: From this moment on, I'll enjoy this life even more.
Wataru: Enjoying this life... what do you mean by that? I don't understand. What I was supposed to do from now on, I don't understand still.
Otoya: You... should be able to hear the wish that I put into Bloody Rose, shouldn't you?
Wataru: My important wish was also put inside it. The music inside people, the desire to protect them... the reason to want to keep living (I knew what it meant).
Otoya: Then you should understand, isn't it? That should be enough.
Wataru: Those voices/music... how would I be able to hear them?
Otoya: You don't need that! You should be able to think how (to do it) by yourself... Wataru.
Wataru: I cannot understand it. Father! *vanishes*
LOL. It felt a bit of a Star Wars feel there. Hahahaha.
The exchange between Maya and Otoya was nice. But I was lazy to type it up. But Otoya's words are always epic.
Otoya: As long as my son remains here, it's not cool to let him see me die in front of him.
- Awwww Otoya~
Well... at least we'll see the end of EMO Wataru. XD
2008/2009
Nago is so spirited! You gotta love him for that. It's cute at how he insisted Megumi to sign thecontract recommendation letter. It's a bit childish (the fact that he indirectly want Megumi to support him stay by his side. Hahahahaha). Emo-Bishop is nice. Sucks to be Taiga... why must you bully him! See him taking revenge. XD.
And we went back to Wataru. And we hear Otoya's last message again. XD
Otoya: Wataru... please protect the music inside everyone's heart. Protect those beautiful things. Go now... and fight, Wataru!
- Nyeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..... yeah. You see a lot of me squealing over Takeda Kouhei/Otoya's line. XD
I think after he realized what he should do, Wataru didn't feel any more of the restraints in his heart. That's why even when he had not transformed, he's able to emit the ferocity of his spirit that scared all of those revived Fangires. The same power that woke Zanbat and responded to it. Shizuka obviously having seen this different Wataru would have thought he might be possessed again. Like when Otoya's spirit possessed him. LOL. Nice Shizuka-Wataru chat. Meeting Otoya was definitely good for Wataru-kun. But aside from that, perhaps after realising his true potential and purpose... without thinking, Wataru could sense Fangires even when they assume human forms. It's that music inside thing. XD. Cool.
NagoMegumi scenes are damn cute. Nago should be more honest to his true feelings. It's funny when he said it what Megu slipped saying it's 'a sign from god' saying that she must do what he asked her to do. It was fate! Wataru's getting stronger and more confident. XD. And I love the trio. ^_^
Aside from this Megumi should realize Nago's feeling as well... hahahahaha. He'll need it more now that he's hurt.
Taiga scene! Hey... why did you made Mio's grave so far one? Did you collect all of her glass shards and bury her there? But nice scenery. XD. How did Wataru knew to find the place? XD. Hmm... perhaps with his new-found ability to sense Fangires, he could find where Taiga is. And fight scene~ Wataru take on aggressive!
And finally we returned to Otoya's last scene.... XD. I suppose it would be sometime after King's death and Taiga having already being entrusted to Shima-san's care. It should be some time. And I will try NOT to delve on 'certain' topic. XD. As to something related to Wataru, Megumi and Mitsuhide's existence (I can't imagine someone other than Otoya who would choose Mitsuhide as a name for the son.) XD. But then again... I think my earlier post summed it all. And I think people at the Zeronos forum said it better. I'll just put the epic lines anyway. LOL panjang gila this post. (Too long is an understatement.)
EPIC SCENE/LINE TIME~
Remember what I said about the time lapse between King's defeat and Otoya's death? After looking back... yeah, I am right. There was a long period in between. Evidence? Buruma was older... meaning this scene should be set a year after... or months later. Or a year and several months. Buruma during 1986 should still be a puppy. It can't grow big magically in a span of few days. XD And hey... Yuri overcame her fear of dogs! Why nobody noticed it before?
Anyway epic line... I kept distracting myself. XD. Neh... I'll skip Otoya/Yuri scenes. It's too sweet and heartbreaking as Otoya/Maya it's heartbreaking. Reason I'm skipping the commentary. Wait for the proper subs then. And yeah... omurice...
Okayla... one rough translation....
Otoya: *to Yuri* Yuri... meeting you, was certainly (one of) the best thing that have happened to me. (I'm glad I had a chance to meet you.)
The rest of the line I barely could grasp betwen his slurring in the rain and the rain~ XD. But what he said was still so sweet. Idiot Charmer till the end~
As we reached the scene with Jiro-tachi, I guess we could say something. That perhaps when Otoya's was talking to them, Otoya might have already died or that by the Kurenai's mysterious ability... his soul manage to find them. The writers could just choose which time and scene to show first right? Reason's because Otoya's legs were transparent. The Japanese always believed that the 'ghosts have no feet/legs'. I noticed this right away as Jiro-tachi appeared to have noticed as well. The exchange between Otoya and Jiro was precious~
The last moment between Otoya and Maya was indeed special and sweet. Got to hand it to Otoya, being such a sweetie. Until the end, he's keeping his promise of giving Maya his best 'concert'. Thus that was why I named that short piece of mind as The Last Étude. That last scene speaks a lot that what it shows. Which by far, is the MOST epic of all in this episode.
Otoya: Can you hear it? My music?
Maya: I can hear it... your music. It will always resound in my heart.
Otoya: Is it? Then it's enough. That was my true music...
<3<3
Okay... dah puas~ enough already. XD
Mika Hijii and Konitan's voice act was a bit refreshing. XD. I might sound a bit biased... but I find it cute. XP
Konitan can sound so... innocent! Hahahahahha.
