Beautiful Chaos by Gary Russell
Have to say back when I got this book, I'm actually wasn't aware of what this novel would be about. I even almost decided to give it out without reading it. Glad I didn't.
Donna Noble is back home in London, catching up with her family and generally giving them all the gossip about her journeys. Her grandfather is especially overjoyed - he's discovered a new star and had it named after him. He takes the Doctor, as his special guest, to the naming ceremony.
But the Doctor is suspicious about some of the other changes he can see in Earth's heavens. Particularly that bright star, right there. No not that one, that one, there, on the left...
The world's population is slowly being converted to a new path, a new way of thinking. Something is coming to Earth, an ancient force from the Dark Times. Something powerful, angry, and all-consuming...

The story was set sometime after the Sontaran Stratagem, yet also framed by the aftermaths of events set during Stolen Earth/Journey's End. In a way, I find that quite sweet for having a sort of brief mention of how Wilf's life had been ever since that dreadful night when the Doctor came knocking with Donna unconscious and then having him reminisce over an event that happened prior. Also, in a way... this novel allowed a chance for Wilf to have had an experience of an adventure with the Doctor (AND Donna) prior to the End of Time two-parter.
