These few weeks I've been either catching up on old J-dramas (from the Spring and Summer series this year, and I still had a bunch to catch up with) as well as some random K-dramas that I happened to watch on KBS World. I guess I'll do some review on them. XDDD. Obviously, there gonna be hints of spoilers at the end.
Ghost Friend
The first time I saw this series's trailer (right after QED's slot) I know I gonna like this drama. Fukuda Saki played Kamiya Asuka, a high school student who had involved in an accident with her two friends who were in the bus with her. Asuka had survived the accident but not her friends. But most shockingly, Asuka realized as she got well... that now she was able to see ghosts around her, including her mum who had been watching her family for quite some time. Her friends also ended up being ghosts as Asuka ended up doing random errants for the ghosts and allowing them to ascend to heaven. One day, as she saw a model from a fashion show collapsed... with a ghost coming out of her, she was again taken by surprise to find another person who can see ghosts. Nishijima Takahiro played Hayami Kaito, another victim who had died in the same accident Asuka was in and had returned back to the living using the borrowed body of his own; to chase after the runaway ghost that was his girlfriend, Misora.
Since then, Asuka and Kaito had been tackling many ghost related incidents as Kaito chased after Misora to take her back to the afterlife. And by a twist of fate, Asuka realized that she had fallen in love with Kaito; and him too later as both tried to treasure the times they had with each other.
It's a sweet love story with a touch of supernatural. Others probably thinks this was such a cliche series but it's still an innocent romance story. Like Tengoku no Kiss or any other series of the same line, it focused on the relationship that transcends physical boudaries. Viewers will be drawn to the life of young Asuka as she deals with her school life and grew from the experience she had by helping the ghosts as well as her relationship with Kaito and the people around her. And we also be drawn towards Kaito as he struggled to bring Misora back as he faced the dilemma of his weakening body, his past as well as his love for Asuka. The ending will bring many tears as we found out the truth about Kaito's and Misora's past. And Asuka would later live her life succeefully as finally the sould of her mother and friends would rest in peace. The ED song, Aitai by Yuzu... is also a beautiful song that had beautifully captured the whole feel of the series.
Totally a favourite!
Vineyard Man/The Man in the Vineyard
Taken from Drama-wiki
In this romantic-comedy, (an adaptation of the book The Vineyard Man by Kim Rang), Yoon Eun Hye plays Lee Ji Hyun, a clothing designer in Seoul, who reluctantly leaves home for one year to work at her grand uncle’s vineyard in a small village. However when arriving in the country, she reunites with a Jang Taek Gi (Oh Man Suk), a local resident who had been wrongfully arrested in Seoul by police after Ji Hyun reported having a dress-which she had designed-had been stolen. The two clash frequently as Ji Hyun has a difficult time adjusting to life in the country and working with Taek Gi. However, after many twists and turns Ji Hyun adapts to rustic life while falling in love with Taek Gi.
Totally unexpected to watch this series. I only start following the last half of the series due to the repeat marathon slot in KBSWorld every Saturday. It's about a young girl who had to go to the country and work in a vineyard owned by her grandfather. And later she met a man in the vineyard to whom she started to fall in love to as she got used to working in the vineyard as well as the life in the country. The series's couple was rather cute despite the lead man may looked a bit... plain. XD But nice story, nice songs and sweet retelling... it's a nice story to watch. As the summary states... I really need to rewatch this fully later. XD
Take Care of Young Lady/My Fair Lady/Lady Castle
Yet another series played by Yoon Eun Hye and would be ending this week. I guess I'm a sucker for the Lady-Butler romance story. XDD
Summary from Drama wiki:
The criscross of love triagles in this series are interesting. Or you can say, Love Pyramid if we can omit Kang Su-Ah outta the picture. The pairing started as a one-sided Tae YoonXHye Na, Dong ChanXHye Na and Dong ChanxEui Joo which later became double triangle with Dong ChanXHye NaXTae Yoon and Hye NaXDong ChanXEui Joo which now probable gonna end with Dong ChanXHye Na and Tae YoonXEui Joo. XDDD Frankly said, I love the DCxHN pairing. Yoon Eun Hye and Yoon Sang Hyun's chemistry are very good and they make a cute couple. (And yeah... Imma sucker for ButlerLady romance). TYxEJ also cute as we watched them get closer without realising as they tried to pursue their initial love interest.
The ending of the story was nice and cute. I'll be looking forward to more series starring Yoon Eun Hye and Yoon Sang Hyun. Hopefully they would play another series together in the future. I love the chemistry between them~

Not only does he make her do community service, he even kidnapped her... and now he's the new household manager!!! Even after stepping on him, crushing him and biting him, he still doesn't run away.
