Another old drama review... da ne?
1 Litre no Namida
15-year-old Ikeuchi Aya was an ordinary girl, the daughter of a family who works at a tofu shop, and a soon-to-be high schooler. However, odd things have been happening to Aya lately. She has been falling down often and walks strange. Her mother, Shioka, takes Aya to see the doctor, and he informs Shioka that Aya has spinocerebellar degeneration - a terrible disease where the cerebellum of the brain gradually deteriorates to the point where the victim cannot walk, speak, write, or eat. A cruel disease, as it does not affect the mind in the least. How will Aya react when told about her disease? And how will Aya live from now on?
At first I wanted to watch this ever since I heard Sato Tomohito/Yuki acted in this. Later I actually watched this because of Ryo. XDDD I guess... good stories would still find their way to me... da ne? So far the drama flowed good... this story was based on a real life story of Kito Aya after all but adjusted to the present times. And the character Ikeuchi Aya and Aso Haruto already grows on me so I guess I'm good to go with the series. Well, even when Asou Haruto character was fictional (Kito didn't have a boyfie but her mum wanted the drama/movie have one) but nevertheless, Asou is such a great character to have. And Ryo played him well so you can really sync with him so I have no complains.
Having Jinnai played the father was amusing. Since before this I had an image of him as goofy Mouri Kogoro and kakkoi Dan Morihiko... it's kinda rare to see him played any other type of chara aside from that but one thing I know, he could really play the goofy dad character so well. XD. The story of Aya... and this Ikeuchi Aya was indeed written well. So well, that you can barely distinguish what scene was based on the real life of Kito Aya and what's fictional. So you can really resonate to the intence emotions portrayed in the drama.
Totally loved the series. Certainly a great drama to watch. Although you'd probably need to have a jug of water and a tissue box aplenty aside because you'll ended up crying litres and litres of tears. XD
