So I found an entry that briefly described Oz so far and another on some rumours about Movie taisen 2011 plot. Ah well~
Kamen Rider OOO/Oz 1
I guess hmm... that was a... an interesting start. The episode started with two museum guards attempting to rob the treasures inside while drugging the other newcomer guard. That sorta woke something... as it seemed to activate a certain sarcophagus. Alarms are set off and you get these organization that was so much like ZECT on vending machines with it's leader playing a happy birthday song. Heh~
The OP for Oz was a mix of rap and some catchy tune and lyrics... I like the general feel of the song, yet the rap... needs getting used to. But I would have wished they downplayed Eiji's boxer's appearance. Haha~
Eiji woke up to find the museum in shambles while thinking that the taka token/medal he got was his paycheck. He didn't even bothered to feel slightly conscious at just wearing his boxers during investigation! (ORZ is so an amusing pun on this series.) Funny to see Eiji being so blur XD
And it seemed the Happy Birthday guy was the chief of the Kougami Foundation and that the (destroyed) platoon and museum was also part of his. Though you can't get a feel if he's good or evil. Meanwhile, the Greeds were discussing about their situation and it seemed despite taking a full form, they don't have their core medals as Ankh (whatever it was that had revived them before) had them.
So Eiji went to find a new job... before finding a ride-vender machine... and being stalked--and WTF you can lift that machine! Oh wait!!! The girl was even BETTER!! XOOOOO But she's still totally cute running away at seeing Ankh's hand. Eiji's reaction was funny too! XD And we see one of the Greeds wrecking havoc while trying to find their core medal. Ankh and Eiji had a talk before being attacked by a Greed which lead to Ankh taking out the seal that can be turned into a henshin belt, to give to Eiji to allow him to change into Oz. So finally we get to see Oz transform as Ankh taught him how. Amusing hearing Eiji commented about the 'song' that came out after the transformation. Haha~ And Kougami celebrate Oz's 'birthday~
Hokay... after rewatching this properly (repeat rinse wash XD) I can see more previous Heisei references. The fact that Greeds were unsealed from the sarcophagus reminded me of Blade with the Undeads being released from their cards, as well as the cards/core medals being the source of the Rider powers. The sarcophagus itself made me think of Kuuga, in which both Kuuga and Oz's belts came from an ancient artefact. Faiz was on the circuit effect on the suit. Den-O on the swish motion to activate the belt. Decade and W on the belt designs as well as SFX (the Tatoba SFZ was kinda had the old school feel). Kabuto on the ZECT reference.
W again... on slight reference to Museum (until now I can't really determine them being good or truly evil XD). Kuuga again to the slight reference to Godai Yuusuke's character as Eiji was a bit like him (but Yuusuke was at least more experienced than him in terms of his wandering life--seriously? Surviving with just two pairs of boxers and sum coins?) The Greeds/Yummy in a way was similar with Undeads and Imagins. Those can-droids that can change into little birds or octopi made me think of Hibiki's Disc animals.
Hehe~ I bet we can find even more references in future episodes as well. And it was nice to see some of the old ideas being reused and changed to be used in the series. Hmm~ so far so good~ XD
