So, during the random odd times, I took time to watch old toku series. Because for some odd reason, ever since I typed about it... TOEIcojp stopped allowing non-jp people to watch their vids. And I thought it was funny that I didn't receive any more updates from them. /wry
After Hurricaneger, ended up finishing Gaoranger. And a part of myself just laughed at me at my disordered way of watching series. Because after Gaoranger... I ended up watching Timeranger. Which is... when you looked at their timeline, you'd realized that I'm working on the series backwards. Since Timeranger comes before Gao.... and Gaoranger comes before Hurriken~
Regardless, I liked Gaoranger. So glad I watched it. Can thank Gokaiger for having that cameo episode. XD. Seriously, Gokaiger did influenced me to watch the old series... like Magi. Kakeru got my heart the moment he appeared. Love the way he got so adorable being all over GaoLion. His whole personality just won my heart.As usually as how most Reds of the Heisei Sentai of the 21st century whose series I've watched had won mine all over. Him and Shirogane. Shirogane's a lone wolf chara so that's no surprise. He's a tsundere as well so there goes my fetish being incurable. I'll type more... but I already spam my tumblr with my random Gao outbursts so dunno what else to add.
Loved how the plot had build up till the end. And Tetomu's song is just beautiful. It sits among the level of adoration I had for Kikuchi Mika's Tenkuukai no Yasuragi. So yeah, there goes my collection of toku ost building up again...
On Timeranger... while I find the plot so far was interesting, I don't really fancy their OP song as well as the Timeranger's henshin sequence. It's those odd poses they had when the suit was formed on the members what it started. I often skipped the henshin sequence because it just weird me out. The OP sounded so retro I can't help disliking it. Not saying I hate all retro... but the song tried so hard to sound spooky and futuristic I don't like it. But at least the plot was okay... and I liked Tatsuya. And Yuri... and Sion. Hmmm...
