His legs felt so weak. If not because Ms Han had been supporting him while they headed back into the hospital, he probably wouldn't be able to move a single step.
"There you are! I was looking for the two of you!"
Ms Jang had rushed over to inform them that his grandmother had been moved to a general ward. But Baekhyeon couldn't make himself say anything in response. Instead, he just let Ms Han guide him to where his grandmother was warded.
The rest of his friends were waiting for him in front of the room. Chandu was still holding on to his bag that he dropped without thinking. He didn't see Mr Kang anywhere nearby.
"Has she waken up yet?" asked Ms Han as Ms Jang shook her head slowly. He could feel everyone's eyes were on him as he turned his head down.
Without warning, he felt Ms Han pulling on his arm again as they stood in front of the door. Just as Ms Han was about to open the door, he stopped her.
Baekhyeon looked up towards Ms Han. "Ms Han, I'm scared. What if something bad—"
Ms Han hurriedly stopped him from saying anything more. She smiled at him gently.
"Everything's going to be fine. You just have to keep believing that she'll be fine."
The moment Ms Han open the door, Baekhyeon immediately rushed towards his grandmother's bedside.

Sujeong let out a long sigh as she closed the door behind her. She turned towards Ms Jang and the kid as Pulip, Chandu, Bonggu and Hyeonjeong took a seat at the nearby benches. She couldn't believe what she's seeing.
She turned towards Ms Jang. "Mari-eonnie, where's Mr Kang? Did he left already?"
Ms Jang just blinked at her before turning her glance elsewhere. "Eh, I thought I saw him sneaking a glance over here not long ago..."
The kids started to look around as well as Sujeong thought she saw someone hastily trying to get away. She let out a frustrated sigh as she started to chase after the fleeing man.

"Mr Kang!"
Seokho froze in step as Ms Han's voice reached out towards him. Her running footsteps gradually grew close towards him as Ms Han's hand grabbed him and turned him around.
Ms Han gave him a very stern glare, which reminded him of how Ms Kim Boksun used to do whenever she's about to scold him for something he did.
"What're you doing here?"
Seokho just stare at her blankly. "W-what do you mean?"
Ms Han just sigh exasperatedly.
"Come on... you need to talk it out with Baekhyeon—"
"Ms Han, you don't have to worry about me—" he started to say as Ms Han stopped him.
"Are you fine with being misunderstood by Baekhyeon like this? I know that you cared about the kid a lot, so please stay by his side. Baekhyeon needs you... even more so now."
Seokho just stared at Ms Han. He shook his head.
"No, it's better that I stayed away from him. After all, if not because of me—"
"—If not because of you, grandmother might have been in a worse state."
He shrugged.
"Anyway, Baekhyeon still have you, doesn't he? And right now, rather than having someone like me by his side... it's better if I stayed away from them."
"Mr Kang. Please stay with Baekhyeon. Right now he really needed you by his side."
Even as he entered the room where Baekhyeon and his grandmother was in, he still didn't feel like he was supposed to be there. It didn't feel right as he felt that everything had been his fault.
So he chose to tell the kid what happened before the surgery and what his grandmother said to him before she lost consciousness. Once he finished, he thought that it was just right for him to leave. Since after everything he's done, he didn't feel thaf he deserved to be...
"Don't go! I'm so scared... I'm scared to death!"
Seokho turned around to see the boy's terrified eyes trained on him.
"P-please stay by my side... so that I wouldn't become weak."
The moment he heard Baekhyeon finish those sentences, he could feel his heart break into pieces. After hearing all that, how could he leave that child alone?
