 Attended Bon Odori again this year. This years theme was on 30 year anniversary of the former premier, Tun Dr. Mahathir's 'Look Towards the East' policy. I've always known about this policy... never knew it had been around two years before I was even born. Whoa. Last year the theme was 'Thank you, Malaysia' since a lot of us did contribute something to Japan to help out during the Tsunami incident. Not sure about the government and the NGOs... but amongst our little ACG community we did raise some money to help out. So yeah~

It's a nice event. Yeah.... the original Bon Odori event had more meaning to it rather than a simple cultural event where people, families and friends gather to spend some time together and dance and exchange different cultures. So I really do wish some weeaboos learn some sense about this and don't assume, Japanese event = Anime is from Japan = Can cosplay/dress up. We've been telling this for a very long time after all...

Honestly... that, tarnished my enjoyment. Thank goodness for friends.
