Started on Kuuga... but it seemed that Hibiki was not the first Heisei that use strange lighting, eh? And the funny thing was... I noticed, aside from this--there was another thing that Kuuga and Hibiki had in similarity. The main actors, Odagiri Joe and Hosokawa Shigeki shared quite a resemblance to each other. That and Godai Yuusuke's personality and Hibiki's were almost similar as well. XD And randomly, Murai Ryouta (Decade's Kuuga) also bears resemblance to Odagiri Joe. 8D Makes you wonder if that a coincidence... or IshiPro/Toei had wicked sense at choosing their casts?
So to the specials...
Kamen Rider Decade 30 Special
My download was still incomplete... but I can still view the file so hey~ The changes was not that hard to notice though. Since it was at the beginning. It still started with Natsumi's dream, but there's no sight of Narutaki's face. (YES! I'm a biased Tsukasa cosplayer XD) Instead of Natsumi reacting to the dream and sorta argue with Narutaki about Tsukasa-- she reflected over the dream since she used to often had it, even before she had met Tsukasa. So in a way, this scene reconnected to the first dream in the first episode. I like it. XD.
The rest following that typically is the same as the original episode. (But of course! If the change was so drastic... it's no fun also. XD) If there were any small change, well... I'm lazy to go picking out minute by minute comparison. How the slight change would affect the continuity to Movie Taisen, well.. you had to continue to 31.
Kamen Rider Decade 31 Special
Hee~ So if the earlier parts of 30 had been edited to refer back to the Rider War, the opposite can be said for 31. While the episode generally is the same, the line during the time Tsukasa saved Natsumi was changed, as well as the end wheremy favourite son Wataru appeared to scold Tsukasa for what he did wrong. The part here Natsumi seek Yuusuke to save Tsukasa and Kivaara revived Yuusuke was omitted--instead, Kuuga Rising Ultimate already appeared to fight Decade with the others. And we skips back to the scene that Natsumi had once seen in her dreams. Diend totally forgotten hahahaha.
So perhaps, that dream that Natsumi had before... was actually a premonition of the future. And excluding Onodera Yuusuke, every Rider that were fighting Decade (in order to revive Fury Form) were the original Riders? Then... the ones that remained (and fighting the Last Story) were those the original Riders--or the original Riders as well as some of the surviving AR Riders? XD Jenjeng~ This is where it gets uber confusing. XDDDD But for sure Blade was Kenzaki (Yeah, if Wiki should be trusted as well as the person updating that page, that Blade was voiced by Tsubaki-kun) though it beats me how he got downgraded suddenly. Can he still undo the King Form since now he's Navy Joker? Eh wait... Hajime can do that, so ignore that. XD
So, Tsukasa not only have to destroy all the AR Riders, but the Originals as well in order to restore/save the worlds to how it had been before Decade came to existence huh? Wonder if Wataru-tachi knew about that when Wataru purposely set Tsukasa on this journey? Or maybe they also know that they needed to have Decade die and have the AR Riders gave him new life/revive him in order to make his existence no longer causing the different worlds/story from merging?So much like Sailor Saturn. Refer notes below for explanation.
Decade just becomes even more confusing. XDDD And a part of me felt bad (after seeing the specials as well as Movie Taisen) that they totally omitted all those scenes they showed at the last preview after Decade 31. (Because Imma sadist wanna see Tsukasa being cornered and Fury getting a kick at Tsukasa. Blame me not having enough seeing Mirror!Shinji bullying Shinji as well as RyukixRyuga fight. And I also wanna see more KivaaraxDecade fight~) Since in a way, you still feel like there's a hole in between the last scene to the movie. Yeah, it connected better this way, but I like my action scenes so much. X3333
But reading some of the thoughts on the movie, esp takenoko's, I had to agree that Decade typically is an anniversary series to revisit all Heisei-verse with some of the Showas. So technically, Decade did have no story of his own. XD. And yeah, Fourth-walling Wataru is luv~ Ignore the Decade-haters. If Decade really revisit all of the Original Rider universe and not a mere representation of an alternate version of it, there's no point of watching it if you don't have to rewatch the old series because you can already see it in Decade. Decade's mission was after all to get people to remember back the previous Riders after all, and not just another story. Like, just because the story had ended, doesn't mean that you cannot watch it again. XD
... DAMN~ Now I had this muse of wanting to write a post Episode Finale fic. *Screw you... Ryuga!* I hate my toku muses. And indeed... a Survive one-shot came to me. And that piece was done. Hopefully that story make sense. Kanzaki's screwing with my brain.
For some reason while rewatching these two episodes, I can't help making this crack Sailormoon parody.
Because of what Kenzaki said... made me have this image of Tsukasa|Decade as Sailor Saturn. And the story did sound like that. And then later I'm like... Hey! Den-O had something to do with Time, so he could be Sailor Pluto! XDDD And then for some reason, muse was saying something like... Kiva and Kabuto should also be part of the Outers... since duh, by their orders. (Though, I would like Tendou be Sailor Jupiter. For the OBVIOUS reasons.) So there you go, Tendou|Kabuto being Sailor Uranus and Wataru|Kiva as Sailor Neptune.
Without question, Shinji|Ryuki should be Sailor Mars (because of the Fire element). Now after this it gets HARD. Even though I haven't finished Kuuga and Agito, for some reason... the voice said they should be those two. Aka Yuusuke|Kuuga as Sailormoon and Shouichi|Agito as Sailor Venus. Oh wait! Change that. Kuuga is Sailor Venus and Agito is Sailormoon! That's better! Don't ask. Brain on crack mode.
That leaves... Jupiter and Mercury, as well as Faiz and Blade. and wait! Hibiki! ... DUR! We got an extra Kamen Rider! XO. Okay... I'll toss Hibiki as Tuxedo Kamen (Wakakakakaka) so you'll have Takumi!Faiz as Sailor Mercury and Kenzaki|Blade as Sailor Jupiter.
Now... if only someone would make a crack fanart on this. XDDD But this was just me, other people may have different opinion. XD Because I do prefer Kabuto being Jupiter actually. Since Tendou cooks so much.
Kaibutsu-kun 8 takes a turn for dramatic! XD With Demokin reviving his memories, the plan continues with him trying to get close to Taro, while Dr Malice acted on his own to acquire maouseki for himself. It was kinda sad... because Taro seemed to like Seigi-kun so much... despite later it revealed to be Demokin. And Kaibutsu-land in a pinch! Papa got turn into stone, trying to save Taro XO. It seemed a battle between Taro and Demokin is inevitable, huh?
Kamen Rider W 38
You know... seeing Accel Trial's transformation, I can't help thinking about the old Lotus car racing game (or any other old PC racing games) because that SFX is so darn familiar. In a strange way, it was kinda cute~ On the other hand, wonder who's in charge of picking up Accel memory and that sword for Terui, every time he threw it away to go Trial! XD Reminds me of Den-O (mostly Momo) bad habit at throwing the Pass around. XD
The plot continues over that professor client of Sho-tachi's and the relation between him, Sonozaki as well as Phillip. As well as Saeko, Wakana, those new people appearing... Saying the plot thickens going to be redundant now. And Phillip finally finding out his true identity and Wakana taking a big turn in her role in this story. Knowing how KR usually works, there would be a big serious confrontation plot to be expected--and this should be one of them. Looking forward to it, na?
Shinken VS Go-on
I guess anytime Go-on was involved, there'll be crack. Totally loved what they did here. The blur reaction of Tono-tachi when seeing Sousuke was so precious! Ryunosuke now have met someone else more sillier than Genta and him combined! Totally love Tono being Tono~ Kinda funny later when Ryunosuke-tachi got sent to another dimension with Ryunosuke the only one being alone. (No Tono by his side. XD. So lonely~)
Really loved the way the Shinken-tachi and Go-on-tachi get along. XD That aside, Tono had good taste at picking cars. XDDXDXDXDXDD
