While I've finished with the drama, I'm still not for the manga. But well... it shouldn't matter much. I'm the type of person who rather liked any adaptation of novel<>manga<>anime<>drama that I liked to have their own uniqueness/difference and NOT be exactly alike. I'm realistic like that. And I rather not have them be exactly alike but still stayed true to the source. Okay, on to the thoughts.
Watching this renzoku, I sort of get it why they were called Japanese 24. But instead of a day, it's set in a span of several days. (But still chasing time regardless.) Here you have Takagi Fujimaru who seemed to be like your average high schooler, but later you found out he was actually a genius hacker, Falcon/Taka, who once hacked into Japan's version of CTU/Secret Anti Terrorist called Third-i. Who also incidentally, was the son of the vice-chief of Third-i. While he was later brought in to help Third-i again to crack a file recovered from a dead Russian spy, his father was accused to be a spy and went fugitive. As the case continues, it seemed that the case Fujimaru was in was just not an ordinary case and somehow, it ended up dragging his friends along as well to what it seemed, that they were also connected to the case in a very unexpected way. As they raced to stop the terrorist and try to save Japan from impending epidemic, Takagi also had to face many obstacles and heartache as allies and enemies lies hidden in unexpected places.
I loved the writing... and even if there are a lot of scenes in the drama rewritten and merged and maybe slightly different end, it still stayed true to the manga. Loved the suspense and the twist and the casting. (Mostly on Fujimaru and Otoya and the Third-i and terrorists) My only gripe would be... that the drama had removed an essential character from Aoi Asada. In the manga, Aoi was supposed to be a karate-champ. But she's just an ordinary girl in the drama. :C But aside from that... the drama is very engaging. <3 Loved the emotional scenes and I love Miura-kun's acting and Takeru-kun and agagagagaga LOL, no wonder I recognized Ashina Sei from somewhere! She used to act as hime in Kamen Rider Hibiki!!! WHY HELLO THERE!
XDDDDDD
Bloody Monday 2 - Pandora no Hako
Whereas the first series dealt with a deadly Russian weapons-grade virus, the new season is set two years later when an aircraft bearing a new kind of nuclear weapon threatens Tokyo. --Anime News Network

Found the manga... and finished the first one. And I noted that for the drama, some of the characters/plots in the first manga (around the near end) had been taken and somehow merged to fit with the second season plot and somehow replaced some of the plots that have to adjust to the first series's conclusion as well as some of the plot that you can't expect to be done unless some SFX is used. (Plane crash thing? yeah... you can't actually film that, do you? And this wasn't produced by toku productions.) It'll be interesting to see how the manga ended up differently, since for the drama... there are some deaths that ended up differently compared to manga and this would definitely steer the plot differently. But it makes the story fun to follow... but bad for the heart... because of the suspense and anticipation. And it's good that they maintained the old casts (that were still alive) and I love it how I also noticed familiar people brought in as new characters.
So again, Fujimaru, Otoya and the rest of Third-i and friends were pulled into another crisis as this one appeared to might even outshine the events of the first Bloody Monday. Allies and enemies are again changing faces and doubts and suspicions again will cloud your judgments. So who's the new enemy threatening Tokyo this time? Will Falcon save the country again this time? Will he be able to save the people close to him? Dang I love how the drama plot had been written~ XD

That aside... LOL. I amused myself to finding more than ONE toku cast in just about MOSTLY of the dramas that I had interest on so LOLOLOL.
