Cos I'm bored...

The series started to head into another direction; if the last arc was about the silver mine and saving Muyeon, this time it's the plot revolving the Joseon court with our villains replotting to regained their strengths. So far for the heroes (and heroines) they were growing up at a good place...

Yet somehow for the villains...

Ma Sook's always so dark... and mysterious. He did seemed to have some kinda determination... as strong as Woo Chi and the KIng, and that should be enough. We've yet to know his full strength... but it'll come in due time. Minister Oh is as snaky as can be.... and despite Oh Gyu was his son, I liked it that he at least have a bit of conscience. Like when he worried if Lee Chi died... even if its probably because he didn't want to lose his ultimate proofreader~ I find Lee Chi and Oh Gyu's relationship adorable to a point.... as during this time you can see Woo Chi's childish side the most.

Yet Gangrim... I find him weak. Yeah... it was hinted that he got stronger since Jeochim Ryeong, but I don't find his motivations as strong. So far it just looked as if he's just clinging onto Ma Sook to do 'great things' and that's that. I find it funny that he thought that Muyeon belonged to him and him alone, considering prior to this it was never stated that Muyeon was ever betrothed to him. Aside from the three of them learning magic together and (implied) being so close to each other.

I felt affronted at his claim of his 'ideal' Muyeon was the subservient type that was controlled by the poisonous insect and doing whatever evil deed that she was told. That Muyeon was not the real Muyeon.... so his claims that 'his Muyeon he loved' had died have no basis. The true Muyeon had fallen for Woo Chi... and through trickery, Gangrim made the illusion that Muyeon loved him instead. I find it laughable that he accused Woo Chi's resolve to fight Ma Sook and stopping them was just because he wanted to take Muyeon back. Yeah.... that was the greatest motivation for Woo Chi back then.... but he's a nice guy and ended up helping Joseon anyway. Because he's not the time to let an innocent died because of whatever Ma Sook and Gangrim did. Truthfully... that statement should be thrown back at Gangrim as to WHY he didn't want to help Woo Chi. Since by going throgh with his uncle's plans he'll get Muyeon. Albeit puppet!Muyeon. Woo Chi was just too nice as to throw that to Gangrim's face. TWICE, if we include the flashback in Yuldo.

And I'm still pissed at him whenever he looked like he wanna cry while trying to kill Woo Chi or when he's about to do something bad. It was HIS CHOICE, he can still make a choice to right his wrongdoings... but no~~~~ (And he did not even have an ominous premonitions shoved into his throat like Yeo Un, so he have no stand to take that pitiable position) He's just a simple villain... pfft!
