I just realise that ALL Quotes have relation to Kaoru.

Like the first one, it’s Kouga being angry that the doctor wanna eat Kaoru cos she gonna die anyway and he relate that with Taiga dying and no, NO ONE’S FINE ABOUT BEING KILLED!

And Leo’s quote aside being something Wataru taught Kouga before, it also indirectly reference to how Kouga tried to save Kaoru even as she’s nearing her 100th day since if there’s even the slightest chance of that Balankas fruit gonna save her, yeah he gonna get it from Grou Dragon even if he end up being hit by that razor claw thing~

Rekka’s quote just explained enough. Like how sparing Kaoru might not seem like a big deal… but then Kouga became strong because of her and she gave him WINGS and he managed to kill Messiah and save everyone! If Kaoru wasn’t there, Kouga wouldn’t have achieved all that and other people’s future just went down the drain…

Lastly, Zero’s quote. Said when there’s no time and they need to send the sealed horrors to Shin Makai. That Kouga reminded Rei about the Makai Knight’s duty of protecting people from Horrors and not revenge or following the WatchDog’s orders to stop him and kill Kaoru and all those other things.
