Keiwa glanced down towards the single core ID in his hands. The only remaining trace on their last battle with Suel and the rest of the old DesiGra management.
Everyone else but him had already forgotten about everything, yet even then he didn't mind it. It was for the best. It should be enough for just him to remain behind and protect everyone.
Just as he had promised Ace that he would do, not so long ago...
He snorted to himself, as someone's words to him came back to mind...
"The life of a Kamen Rider isn't something to be taken lightly—"
"You better be prepared... for what awaits you—!"
Keiwa smiled weakly at that reminder.
He sighed to himself as Keiwa stared at the piles of reference books and notes that he had gathered with him. This felt strangely nostalgic. To think that it's only been 2-3 years since he had finished college... rather than a decade. This past year... really felt like a really long time, yet he had changed so much in that one long year.
And it's all thanks to Ace... as well as that person.

A familiar pair of arms sneaked up from behind him and held him close in an embrace as Keiwa could feel someone hooking their head on his shoulder while snuggling their face against his neck. He could smell the same familiar perfume on the other person and he could feel the person's warm breath brushing his cheek.
"World peace... huh?"
Keiwa let out an exasperated sigh at the person who suddenly hugged him from behind though he didn't do anything to make the other person release him. In fact, he welcomed the affectionate gesture as Keiwa rocked his body side to side so that the two of them would move together in rhythm.
"Shouldn't you start calling me by my name properly by now?"
"Heh?" came the melodious reply. "Didn't I just call your name just now?"
Keiwa just shook his head as he could feel the other person kiss his neck tenderly. He rolled his eyes at the other person.
"My name is Sakurai Keiwa... not World Peace."
"Idiot."
The man chuckled softly, as the sound of his voice tickled Keiwa's ears.
"It's basically... still the same thing for me."

Keiwa finally turned around as he kissed Ace gently on the lips. Ace returned the kiss with equal fervour.
"Are you real right now, Ace?" he asked, "Are you really right here with me and not just a figment of my own imagination?"
Ace let out a foxy smile at him. The taller 'youth' cast a brief glance towards the nearby people and passersby. None of them made any indication that there was anything odd happening around them; either they really didn't mind seeing two good-looking young men making out with each other out in the open, or none of them could see Ace and not finding any of his odd behaviours—talking to and kissing the supposedly 'invisible' Ace—to be strange. Ace flashed him a cheeky grin.
"What did you think it is then? Am I real... or am I not?"
Keiwa just shrugged at him before turning back to resume his studies.
"Does it really matter?" Keiwa smiled to himself. "I can feel you next to me right now; I can hear your voice and feel your touch, your warmth. You're real enough to me right now."
Ace smiled widely as he listened to Keiwa's words and hugged the man tightly.
"This is why I loved you so much—" he said as Keiwa let out a small chuckle.
He glanced up to take a look at all of the reference books on the table in front of them. Most of them had something related to the police force and Ace thought he spied a pamphlet about a police academy and an application form to apply for it in between the gathered notes.
"So was 'this' the answer that you've come up with?"
Keiwa nodded his head. "Unn. I realised that I'm really not a good fit at doing any desk jobs." He turned his head to wink at Ace.
"I guess I can never stop being a Kamen Rider and protecting world peace."
Ace kissed Keiwa on the cheek again before wrapping his arms around Keiwa's neck.
"Do you best, Sakurai Keiwa."
