Title: A Mother's Sin
Series: 仮面ライダーギーツ/Kamen Rider Geats
Pairings: Mitsume & Sakurai Keiwa, Sakurai Keiwa/Ukiyo Ace,
Characters: Mitsume, Ukiyo Ace, Sakurai Keiwa
Summary: On the rarest of opportunities, Mitsume went to find her lost child...
----------------------------------
As always... she never wanted any of this to ever happen to anyone, let alone any of her children. All she ever wanted was to have a little bit of happiness, and she did receive it... even when that happiness did not actually turn out to be perfect.
This cursed power... even if she never regretted gaining it in the first place, it pained her at how much her loved ones had to suffer because of her...
Even more innocent lives had been claimed in the second round of the Heaven and Hell game, and one of the casualties was someone she never thought she'd be able to see again after thousands of years. A child whom she had once lost, a child whom she barely could embrace onto her chest before fate had to cruelly take him away from her.
Mitsume knelt beside the stone bed before reaching out towards the prone figure that lay on the cold surface, seemingly in a deep 'sleep'. Tears started to streak down her cheeks as Mitsume lifted the child's unmoving body into her arms.
"I'm sorry... I really am sorry for everything that has ever happened to you, my dear child."
She thought back to that moment when the attendant informed her that one of her children was stillborn. It had devastated her to learn of the loss of one child, yet grateful to still have the other child born safely.
A part of her had wished that the lost child could've had a better life, completely disconnected from her or even her other child's fate of having to continue chasing after her, one lifetime after another. She wished that the lost child would never have to come in contact with the Desire Grand Prix, but perhaps it was just a matter of time before the lost child would end up entangled in the same cruel fate that the other twin had suffered for two thousand years.

It has troubled her many times afterwards...
When the Jyamar area spreads out and catches the child in its net... unlike the time many years prior when the Jyamar area opened up far away from where the child had been and instead caught the child's current parents.
It had alarmed her even more times later...
When both children ended up joining the Desire Grand Prix at the same time and unknowingly, affected the growth and evolution of the 'monsters' that have been taken and bred there for the sole purpose of being killed and destroyed as opponent fodders for the game.
If there was any relief left for her in these kinds of situations, was that neither the gardener nor the administrators were aware of the relationship between the two children... or how the presence of the two together continued to wreak havoc on the system that continued to benefit from manipulating the mysterious powers that she had unwittingly awakened.
Her only other remaining hope was that it stayed that way forever... because, unlike the other child, the lost one was much more vulnerable. And she feared the day when the administrators would try to make use of the lost child to take down its twin...

She recalled the outburst that the child had let out prior towards her other child after finding out about her existence. She recalled the tears the child had shed after learning the true nature of the life-and-death game and its ability to grant wishes for the winners of such a cruel tournament.
Mitsume placed a kiss on the child's forehead as she continued to apologise profusely for all of the suffering that had befallen the child.
He felt himself 'waking up' from someone caressing his face in a loving gesture. It was a strange feeling... being showered by this kind of unabated love from someone he couldn't even recognise...
Who was this person?
No matter how many times he blinked his eyes, the figure in front of him remained a blurry image...
A ghostly voice then started to speak to him; asking him for his forgiveness, telling him that it was 'all right' to place all of the blame on her shoulders alone and how she wished for him to have all of the happiness that he deserved to get. It confused him as to why the figure would say all these things to him so he tried to call out to 'her' yet not knowing what—name—to even call her. He kept trying though... even as tears started to leak out from his eyes and the dream-like state he was in started to shatter...
And then he woke up, still crying profusely.

Ace started to lift Keiwa up to a sitting position before gently shaking the other person's body to wake them up. And he immediately pulled Keiwa into a tight embrace when the man didn't stop crying even after waking up from whatever it was Keiwa had been dreaming about.
"What's wrong... Keiwa?" he asked, even as Ace continued to shower soft kisses and patted Keiwa's body to calm his other twin.
"I don't know... I don't know—!" cried Keiwa again as his body began to shake violently.
Ace just nodded his head as he let Keiwa bury their face in the crook of his neck, all the while continuing to soothe his twin with comforting words.
Did you dream about our mother... Keiwa?
He sighed.
It's all right...
I'm sure she never faults you for anything that has happened in the past...

Notes: Ngl this twin AU kinda gave me a chance to explore the scenario where Ace did actually forget about Mitsume yet still ends up being involved in the DGP...
