The series was pretty okay. This second season is basically what the plot could've been if Jinhyuk, Daeshik and Hyunho had returned/remained on the main team instead of just Eunsoo during the events of Voice 2.

Finally managed to finish watching this drama at last. Took me like a while to watch the first half of the series when it was released and then I ended up putting the series on hold for almost two years before picking up this series back.

For someone who truly got into the first season for the unique crime-solving cases and the relationship between Kang Gwonjoo and Moo Jinhyuk as they hunt for the true killer of their loved ones, it certainly get a bit hard to pick up the new season when half of the team members were different. This time, Jinhyuk left the team for his son's treatment and his former team leader takes the mantle to lead the Golden Time Team. Yet before they could even start anything Team Leader Jang was murdered and they ended up transferring to Pungsan to investigate the case.

Every time there's a Japanese adaptation of a Korean drama I'm always interested. Especially if it's a drama that I really like. Voice 110 was like that.

Overall, the Jdrama really stayed true to the original while injecting a localized Japanese flavour to the original story. Since usually the renzoku format of most Jdramas are shorter than the usual lengths of an average kdrama, initially I was concerned whether or not the Jdrama could fully integrate most of the original plot and conclude it nicely. Turned out that I didn'treally need to worry about that.

For viewers already familiar with the original Voice, watching the Japanese adaptation may feel redundant since you should already know most of the big twists and reveals. Not to mention how some of the more gruesome cases/scenes from the original may not be included or changed. But honestly, this Jdrama may still intrigue you still since there would be some plot points that may happen in a slightly different way compared to the Kdrama due to the shorter run.

While the Jdrama may not be as brutal and graphic as the original, the drama still manage to give quite an emotional ride. Not to mention you may end up finding easter eggs paying homage to the original kdrama at an unexpected moment.
