Actually, this was not triggered by anything. Though some thoughts might perhaps be dedicated to Yoko-tan and his late mother (and to how he had been dealing with his mother's passing). Technically it's about continuing to live on for the sake of the people we love.

I wonder if I indirectly got swayed to more Arashi-related dramas XDDD Since Kaibutsu-kun was only starting... I take peek on Maou. Seeing the initial plot, the only thing that was actually similar with Orthros was that duality element between the angel-like character and devil-like character and the Johnny's cast (the senpai taking up the Akuma chara and the kohai the tenshi chara) XD. Aside from that... NIL. Makes you wonder why people actually try to compare the two. The motivations were all different and circumstances not the same.

And we arrive to that point of argument. Why do people try to compare Maou with Orthros? Aside from the demon/angel theme and the Johnny's cast (while also having the senpai being the akuma while kohai the angel--while also having that duality opposite outward personae), both series had NOTHING of similarity between each other. *sigh* And if only people would not keep such bias around.
